Slack water times for diving the SS Kyarra are 1 hour before height water at Dover and 6 hours later. Slacks on neaps can be as much as 3/4 hour, but are much less on springs.

Swanage Launch sites

The best place to launch is from Swanage Boat Park, by the Lifeboat station. Launching cost around £10 per boat.

Poole Launch Sites

Knoll Car park Studland Bay
This involves taking the ferry from Sandbanks to Studland. Be aware ferry que's be very long during the summer season and other buys periods.

Shell Bay marine centre
A small boatyard at Sandbanks peninsula.

Rockley Point
This is on the Hamworthy side of Poole lifting bridge near to Rockley Sands Holiday Park. Launching here involves a long boat trip to the open sea.

Baiter Park
A public slipway is available at Baiter Park for the launching and recovery of boats, jetskis or personal watercraft. A large car park is located by the slipway, with extended parking bays suitable for vehicles and trailers.
